The letters are the part people guess at, because a white disc does not show them. These are the names on the listings now.
- Nylon is nylon.
- PES is polyethersulfone.
- PTFE is polytetrafluoroethylene.
- MCE is mixed cellulose esters.
- PVDF is polyvinylidene fluoride.
One 25-piece listing also groups a membrane written as BT with Nylon, PES, and PTFE. The product page prints BT as BT. This note will not turn that into a longer name the page does not give. If you need the expansion, ask, and we will tell you what we know.
A membrane name is not a compatibility certificate. We do not add a line that says a membrane has been checked for a solvent, a sample, or a protocol. The listing tells you which membrane is in the option. Your own method has to tell you whether that is the one you meant to buy.
Read the option, not only the product title. A title often lists every membrane that product can be. The choice you are about to add to the cart is one of them. The Membrane filter on the shop page is there so you can see which listings include the name you are looking for.
